A brief and encouraging respite from the daily grind. A place to play.
The rules are simple. Each monday a subject is decided upon. The members of the blog have until the following monday to submit a piece of artwork (created in any style or medium; gouache, 3D, photoshop, clay...etc.) to the blog.
Have fun!

ReplyDeleteDude, this is fucking awesome/ disturbing. Ballerass light and color!
ReplyDeleteI'll agree. great lighting. One thing that might help next time you do a hot sun like that is it would be nice if right at the transition you blended the colors with a more saturated warm orange. It would make the sun feel a little richer and brighter. And if I might suggest something else, you might consider using a colored canvas to paint on instead of white. I'm seeing white peeking through in places. On something like this I'd usually pick a medium peachy color, but I tend to use a medium warm or cool color to start my palette off. It allows me to not worry about painting every part of a frame and I like the hints of a color showing through. White often ends up looking unintentional. I don't want you to think I'm just picking on you. I critique out of love.
