A brief and encouraging respite from the daily grind. A place to play.
The rules are simple. Each monday a subject is decided upon. The members of the blog have until the following monday to submit a piece of artwork (created in any style or medium; gouache, 3D, photoshop, clay...etc.) to the blog.

No one has commented on your work yet, and I have some hunches why. First being that most are afraid of the beard. Second is the all-too-close placement of the words "throat" and "semen". I'll cut to the chase. I know everyone's excited to have you on board. However (don't tell me you weren't expecting to hear that word), I feel like you're not really relating things much to the topics given. That said, I don't think we need to get super literal with the topics, but if you want to at least give a few sentences to explain the thought process, that would probably be enough. I actually really like the first image here, and it's work like that that makes me happy to have you here. The scribbly textures and composition are fun and I like the subtle color in it. Just a little extra service to the topic would be welcome but I don't want you to stop pushing boundaries either.

ReplyDeleteI didn't draw what most people picture an opera to be. Because the typical image would be a stage, singing or theatrics. Which actually IS an Opera as well. I took the meaning extremely literal.
